Mission Statement
For my mission statement I like to use the original statement of intent written by Henry Luce for the first edition of Life magazine; "To see Life; to see the world; to eye-witness great events; to watch the faces of the poor and the gestures of the proud..." I have also begun a spiritual journey in which I  shoot more photographs that capture the soul of my subjects, shooting more from the heart, and less from the head. I also love the ending of Luce's statement "...To see and take pleasure in seeing; to see and be amazed; to see and be instructed." To me this defines the passion I feel about photography.

In the course of my career I have photographed just about everything that would hold still for my camera (and a few that wouldn’t). From boxes of videotape to Chinese Junks, lobsters to hang gliders, Buddhist temples to paint cans, brides to CEO’s.  I have photographed them all.  As a working photojournalist I am  allowed  to combine two of my great loves: photography and story telling. I also love photographing families, weddings, food, and products and have been lucky enough to establish a local as well as national clientele.
